A standard armoured cable (SWA = steel wire armouring), commonly used to carry mains electricity to residential and business environments. Class 2 stranded copper is encased in XLPE insulation, with a PVC protective boundary. The next layer, of steel wire armour, provides a robust level of protection for outdoor and underground use, withstanding high levels of stress. A black PVC provides a further level of protection. Comes ina range of widths and core options and can be purchased in a choice of lengths.
